Google is an Authority, not a search engine
Global Intel Hub — Charlotte, NC 11/18/2021
Google is an Authority, not a search engine. Google is a surveillance operation, not an advertising platform. These perceptions are key to the Google machine. As stated by Julian Assange in his book “When Google met Wikileaks” – Google became the next generation defense contractor. And modern warfare is about information, not bombs. Google has been a critical source of information in every major war, political conflict, and now COVID since their existence. The company has successfully built a revenue model based on advertisers buying traffic from publishers, taking the spread. Google is such a Monopoly there are few choices advertisers have (alternatives like Facebook do not provide the same ad experience).
As part of their corporate censorship policy, have a look at these cryptic, subjective policies:
Who decides that claims are ‘demonstrably false’ – would that be the Democrat funded “fact checkers” ?
Who decides what is ‘authoritative’ scientific consensus on climate change? Google decides. Based on this, sites can be de-indexed. Advertisers can be banned, publishers can be banned. Anyone can be banned. Google will share this information with others.
Let’s look at some other interesting data points. Google is the largest collector of private photos and videos in the world. According to their blog, they get roughly 28 Billion new photos and videos each week:
Today, more than 4 trillion photos are stored in Google Photos, and every week 28 billion new photos and videos are uploaded.
Similar to Facebook, people upload photos of their pets, their breakfast, their homes, their neighbors, their workplaces, and other private places where there are no cameras. If the FBI or the CIA put cameras in people’s homes there would be outrage, revolution – but when Google does it- they are applauded. Google’s surveillance on our lives could not be any more intimate. They know what we search for, what we photograph, what we do, who we spent time with, what we say (Google Voice). It’s as if the NSA built the ultimate surveillance apparatus, and users pay for it.
But surveillance is one thing – it’s quite another to change reality. If you want to check how they are doing so, try using Duck Duck Go search engine, and Google – compare the 2 results. You don’t need to search for political topics to see the obvious bias. Google’s search algorithms are quite complex but they aren’t optimized to give you the best results, they are optimized to give you the results that Google thinks you should have, thus helping to form your own opinions. They are literally shaping public opinion with their algorithms. By omitting websites and other results, they are providing 90% of the answer but leaving out the critical 10%.
Google generates 5.6 Billion search results per day , and there is virtually no competitor. Bing sucks and often installs spyware and malware, and uses MSN as the default ‘news’ provider. Google answers questions, those search results are people looking for answers. By answering people’s questions in the opinion of Google, our reality is determined by Google’s editors – not by us. This is not objective, not independent. We live in a free society, where free will rules like the law of gravity – we choose to use Google. Google is not violating any rights, there is no argument that can be made Google is violating any laws. If you read any of the disclaimers, disclosures, terms and conditions generated by the Google Monopoly, you’ll get a sense of what you are agreeing to .
We provide our services using reasonable skill and care. If we don’t meet the quality level described in this warranty, you agree to tell us and we’ll work with you to try to resolve the issue.
Removing your content
If we reasonably believe that any of your content (1) breaches these terms, service-specific additional terms or policies, (2) violates applicable law, or (3) could harm our users, third parties, or Google, then we reserve the right to take down some or all of that content in accordance with applicable law. Examples include child pornography, content that facilitates human trafficking or harassment, and content that infringes someone else’s intellectual property rights.
Suspending or terminating your access to Google services
Google reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the services or delete your Google Account if any of these things happen:
you materially or repeatedly breach these terms, service-specific additional terms or policies
we’re required to do so to comply with a legal requirement or a court order
we reasonably believe that your conduct causes harm or liability to a user, third party, or Google — for example, by hacking, phishing, harassing, spamming, misleading others, or scraping content that doesn’t belong to you
If you believe your Google Account has been suspended or terminated in error, you can appeal.
Do as I say, not as I do. There’s another example of the Technocracy Monopoly Hypocrisy: Robots.txt rules. Google uses ‘spiders’ or ‘bots’ to scrape the web for results, but if small businesses use robots or ‘bots’ they can be banned. Companies that implement SEO strategies for their mostly small clients also cannot use any kind of automation, although Google relies exclusively on proprietary automation technology to index the web and get results . So why can Google use a crawler/spider but their policies do not allow their end users to do so? Seems a bit unfair, especially when Google is the Monopoly and the users who are restricted are mostly individuals, small business, and small organizations. In other words, if Amazon was developing a competitor to Google’s crawler, it would be logical and fair for Google to stop them from doing so. But that’s not the case, this is the proverbial slap on the back (you do Search, I do online shopping, let’s partner to crush the consumer).
Fortunately, free will is as strong as the force of gravity – and sites like Duck Duck Go proving that there is an alternative, and this is so true as we publish this on Zero Hedge – let freedom ring!
